so results..

i did okay. but frankly speaking, i seriously dont like my grades. i cant seem to swallow this part of reality and i'm living with so many qns right now. forgive me if i've been on a rather lousy mood, or if i suddenly blew up.

everyone ard me tells me that i confirm can get into uni and enter most courses. they say that my As will help me. on paper, my results may seem better than most pple. but i donno why i'm not happy. maybe i'm not satisfied with my GP and Phy grades.

if only i received another 5 more marks for Phy.. man, that would make me feel so much better.

oh there's smth that i really dislike..
pple who are less consistent with their work getting better grades than u. sometimes it makes me wanna scream. hello? show some fairness here?.. ugh, oh man

do i have any regrets?
now i do..

ohh.. congrats to all my frens who did well. i actually think that my class did quite well. and the school as a whole actually. the teachers still dare to say that we are the slackest batch.. oh pls, mr chan said "OUR SCHOOL EXTREMELY WELL!!!".. teachers, u hear that?

it's a gd show.. surprisingly gd for a local production. i beginning to like wong li-lin, she's like a mother of two (i think).. but she's still very pretty :)
and the best part.. she's a gd actress..

the only thing abt the show is.. i thud they shud explain how jeremy got into a coma and how did dyllan transit into li-ann's life. oh wells, other than that.. it was gd!!
oh ya.. the amt of songs in that show is enough to make like 2 or 3 cds.. i'm serious. haha

so results are on friday. 2 yrs of hardwork is abt to reveal itself in 2days time. whoa..

it would be great to return back to vj.. get to see familiar faces and how some have "dropped hair".. haha

being unemployed is starting to suck again..
i just wish BGSS would return my call asap and inform me abt the outcome of my relief-teaching job. it's continously waiting..

first was MOE..
now the school.. sian

another thing that i must complain about..
the only thing that MOE shud even bother changing, rather than the O's or A's new curriculum, is the way that they announce the release of the results.
what is the pt of getting your dear young singaporeans (who are termed, "the future", by MOE pple) to go thrh year after year of education and undergo immense stress to take the A's or O's exams, only for them to wait for their results in confusion and in questions..

it's stupid that we students have to read the newspprs, or search the net.. or ask frens and start those unsupported speculation. and worst, some of us are so anxious we end up calling MOE. and MOE answers, "u'll receive it in March."

for gdness sake.. at least set a proper date and tell the students, it's not a sin to leak out the actual date.

this is my suggestion: announce a confirmed and fixed date.. or at least set a wk that will be fixed for every yr, like the last wk of feb or 1st wk of march..

now it's either this fri or the next.. and here we are, still unsure. like i said, i'm still waiting. oh man..

HAPPY VDAY TO ALL!!! and belated lunar New Year! haha
long time since i blogged.. i was just too lazy and decided to have a self-proclaimed hiatus.

my job at Subsea has finally ended and i'm $1300 richer. and CNY this year has improved alittle, which is even better. the best part is that i went to get both my POSB and UOB ATM cards liao. i managed to convince my mom that i'm old enough to hold on to these cards.. she's overprotective abt money and stuff liddat.
but.. i wont be spending much

still.. i can sense my Razor2 V9 coming to me soon. plus my PSP.. wanted to get an iPod Touch, but they say that PSP is equally gd. actually it's better cos u can play.. the only thing abt iPod touch is the touch feature, which will be available for almost any gadget in the future. haha

i just watched Memoirs of a Geisha on HBO. i dont know why i missed the show when it was in the theatres, bcos it's a super gd show. i'm not surprised that it was an Oscar-winning one. haha.. that's why i wanna dwnld it :)
i thud that the girl they used as young-Sayuri is pretty.. pretty for her age. and somehow the young girl gives me a zhang-ziyi-feel.. it's really interesting.. and i really find the blue eyes seriously cool man

i seriously hate it when i cut my hair. it somehow always turn out really short and weird even though my mom only trims abit. that's why i've decided.. i'm gonna let it grow long for 1 last time, then i'm really gonna cut this hairstyle liao.

i somehow think i wont look gd in this hairstyle though. frankly speaking, i dont think i'll ever look gd in short hair. that's why i only plan to cut this right before i enter NS in april. heh

ohh.. i passed my Basic Theory Test for my driving. 1st step closing to driving man! i feel gd..

apparently i also met Amanda from Emmanuel there, but she & i both didnt say hi cos we werent sure of each other. the last time we saw each other was when i was sec3?

yes i've got the latest news that the newest Joker has passed away. Heath Ledger is dead. i literally froze in front of my comp when i saw the article on Yahoo, for like 5secs.
i think it's quite wasted, cos he's a very gd actor. gd gd quality. i didnt watch Brokeback Mountain (although they said it's gd), but i know frm his other shows that he's a two-thumbs-up.
so yes, my tributes to the Joker. i hope u play that role really really well.

i'm very pissed off right now. bcos i watched as Roger Federer lose in the Aussie Open to Djokovic. i like djokovic, and i think his impersonations of the other tennis players are super funny. but.. federer shudnt have lost. he wasnt even play in his optimum state. i bet he was already damn tired with the prev 2 matches. shoots!!!

back from cell retreat. it was more like fun and games.. tonnes of PS2 gaming esp NBA matches that could go on for hrs and hrs. haha
let's not forget our 3hr game of RISK, which i got too tired to continue and eventually converted my army to xunfu's army. the game was quite funny cos we broke all the rules and even had treaties and tonnes of scheming tactics. i actually feel sad for dylan.. yday was definitely not his day. he lost so many NBA games and even in RISK, he had weakest army (at first)..

watched I am Legend and AVP2 during this wk. i realised it's been quite so time since i watched a movie, reason being that the movies during this season super boring.
but... these 2 movies were somewhat disappointing. i thud AVP2 was quite weird in some areas. but what to do, it's those plotless shows what..

i thud I am Legend was quite okay.. maybe 6 outta 10
although the intro and conclusion were kinda short and abrupt, i thud the way they progressed the movie was gd. weishan was so scared, she actually grabbed my sleeve.. after a few moments, she ran out of the theatre. leaving me with the tim, terence and sihan. haha
i thud that the way Will Smith holds the movie with just 1 character (or 2, if u consider the dog) was gd. i could actually understd how he felt.. being the only man in Manhattan. how he is driven by his responsibility to take care of Ground Zero Manhattan, despite losing his family and basically everyone. plus to choose Manhattan as the main location of this story is super gd.. cos Manhattan is one of the busiest place in America. imagine it being empty.. haha

it's back to work tmrw. left with just 2 more wks and hopefully i'm switching to my relief-teaching job. did the online registration halfway just now, cos i forgotten which is the last day of my current job. i know it's the last wk of Jan, but not sure of which day..

another wk of work has ended, i truly understd why they say Thank God It's Friday.. haha and i can finally understd why pple hate working. i also feel the irritating feeling u get each day.
unlike sch where u could go library to rest and slack, or slp during the lectures, everyday is work and non-stop filing for me.

and it shud be labelled with a huge sign, "BORING"..
it's paper filing, then back to sorting the papers by alphabet.

today has been a really bad day for me. the trip to parkway for my cellgrp was truly the worst thing that has happened to me in a very very long time.

first.. i tried bluffing the bus driver uncle that i'm still a student and i used 45cents coins to pay for my fare. but due to some stupid discovery, i was busted. in return.. my ezlink was confiscated by the bus driver. i have to call up SBS and most likely get back the card personally from them. i heard from bj liu that there'll be a fine. omg pls leh...

next.. being so pissed off with the bus driver uncle, and running late for cellgrp, i decided to take cab. the worst part is that there's this new charge when u board the cab after 5pm.. in total, i spent 8bucks travelling from TJC to Parkway's polyclinic.. and the meter goes up 20cents each time, no longer 10cents..
WARNING: dont take cab.. the govt is seriously burning our wallets.

1st day of school for many pple out there..

being inside bus38 with those fresh J1 newbies from TJ makes me laugh.
cant believe 2yrs gone by so quickly, and now i'm no longer a JC student. i'm just stucked in b/w this post-JC and pre-NS period. so if some weird questionnaire or some fill-up form asks for my occupation, i'm gonna have a tough time thinkin which to write..

working adult? or student?

i like my boss.. she bought 4 dozens doughnuts from doughnut factory just to give everyone a break. maybe not much to u all, but i enjoy little acts of kindness.. all these small moments make up smth big okay.

i'm starting to wonder whether i got the right job..
on one hand.. i'm paid quite low as compared to other pple who are doin admin, and it's quite boring
on the other.. i'm treated very well even though i'm a temp. admin staff..

i just realised that even though my ezlink states that it'll expire by 31st dec 2007, it'll automatically change to become an adult ezlink. that's why my bus rides are no longer 45cents.. and my mrt ride to work suddenly pops up to $1.40.. i immediately got a shock when i saw my card's remaining value dropped from $2.30 to 90cents..

Alevels has started... in fact, the 1st wk of it has ended.
had phy paper 3, gp and math paper 1 during this wk...

i thud phy was okay, but alot of weird things came out. things that are totally uncommon and didnt come out from any other JCs Prelims paper, and mind you, i did alot alot of other sch's prelim papers. i know i left out at least 10marks or less, cant quite rmb.. but i hope the other parts are okay..
i'm keeping my fingers crossed for paper2 and paper1, which i hope would work to my favour

gp was so-so.. essays are the usual, no comments cos there's nothing to comment abt. you wont know whether u write out of point of stuff. but i'm disappointed with the compre section. i thud the passage was easier, since it was only 1 passage instead of the usual 2. but i somehow lack the energy to last thrh the compre qns, esp the 2nd pg. as usual AQ is disappointing, once again i cant finish it.. i think i'm doomed to score 1 mark for AQ once again. shit shit shit

my happiest paper would be math. i came out and thud to myself, "steady lah. if my paper2 score, then A liao". i'm not being confident or a show-off, i seriously thud the paper was easy. easier than VJ prelims at least. the only diff one was the recurrence, it's like totally "huh?" that kind. haha
but paper 2 is usually my weaker part, and i hope to put in more effort during this wkend. the issue is that i've got chem paper 3 on monday too and math paper 2 is on tues, so i have to juggle b/w 2 subj

joce is right, it passes quite quickly. it's oredi 1 down and 2 more wks left. haha i cant wait

graduation.

cant believe that 2yrs ago when i stepped into vjc for the 1st time. i wore that brownbrown uniform and knew immediately that eyes were gonna be fixed on me (more like on my uniform)
there was the pressure with blending in with everyone, all those from powerful secondary sch..

i was tricked by my good fren Hongsheng, apparently i wasnt the only one from Bedok Green to enter VJ. he apparently DSA-ed in and kept it a secret until he decided to pop in front of me during Day1. so i was posted to S61..

then came the JAE which i failed to re-enter VJ, and landed in SA. i rmbed seeing Gen there. stayed there for a day and by God's grace, successfully appealed back to vj.. newer pple came, some left. the "lala" clique all went to different schools. szehuan landed in AJ, yiying in acjc and ben.. well he chose RJ.. i dont blame him, he's really smart and i respect his decision. and i think the worst is that emily left, i think i miss her alot.. even now..

decided to join piano ensemble and dropped out of Council. i think many pple didnt know the reason.. i was scared that pple would judge me and label me as "religious". i dropped out bcos pple said that council will take up alot of my time. together with piano exams, studies, church activities and family/friends... it would abit hard to juggle. and so i decided to sacrifice that to God and move on with something i really liked.

in fact i met the best pple i've known in piano ensemble. pearly, clar, tim, terence, marc, weishan, sihan, samantha, barnabas and ... these pple brought laughter into my life, and i'm so glad to know them.

then came midyrs where i did so badly.. it made me realise everythin abt jc life. and i rmbed that i dislikes Thomas Teo from the day i got back my math results, bcos he said, "i think now u know why we didnt accept you back to vj after 1st three mths right?"... in short, he said i CMI..
i worked super hard after that.. and got an A for math Promos. and i knew that i got Mr Teo's attention, and could sense that he was proud of me. maybe he said those things just to pull me back to reality. right now, i seriously love this teacher of mine. i think he's one of the best-est teacher i've ever come across.

j2.. OGL was the main introduction to 2007. i rmbed how i walked dwn the hall dressed as an angel as for Orientation Opening Day. how funny.. how embarrassing..
being an ogl is really really fun, better than being a year1 and enjoying Orientation.

after that.. well, it was time-travel. 10 mths practically flew by.. in between were the frequent struggles with school, friends and family. began to meet newer pple bcos of OGL-ing, yuanhong even asked me whether i was very popular bcos i kept on waving hands to pple whom i knew. practically every corner i turned to, there was someone i knew.

so.. .. .. .. prelims. and now graduation
as i sat on my bed on Friday morning, i began to recall all the things that occurred in vj. the fun, the drama, the teachers, the laughter, the performances, the friends, the joy... kudos for the video makers and house comm for coming up with a great farewell video and skit. i laughed non-stop.
ohh and pegasus house won! haha.. it's kinda special cos i'm graduating and yet i get to see our hse winning the House Cup. haha
it was also the last time i dance vj mass-dance. the last time i sang the vj anthem with pride (i really felt proud when i sang it). the last time i will be wearing that tie. the last time i did the "Yo VJC" cheer.

coming to vj was a childhood dream. i'm so glad to achieve it. i couldnt have done it if it werent for that appeal that i made, and not possible if God didnt grant it. i've lived the dream. i've enjoyed it.

now all that's left is the A levels.. happy mugging to all :)

prelims are over for 1 wk. am enjoyin the less-stressful time at home. but it feels weird, it's like knowing that this "break" is so temporary and with it comes the inevitable mugging. it's scary.

after receiving all the grades for my prelims and seen how much i've studied for the prelims, i cant help but wonder how much more can i even mug. i mean..

how much more can i practise maths?
how much of benzene rings and electrochem can i stand?
how much force and acceleration must i calculate?
how much of econs notes and essays do i have to read?

like what they say..
u wont know til u try.
wish me luck.

i think i'm very motivated by mr thomas teo's "speech" during math period later. it sort of inspire me to work even harder. i really wanna get an A. for myself and for him, cos i think he's a great teacher. i think i can.. all i gotta do is to master Statistics, which is the portion that caused my downfall for my math prelims. it cost me my A.. and heck i'm gonna get it back.

i think the young kid shudnt have won. i'm not being biased just bcos Keely is from vj and that i love my sch that much and want her desperately to win. but it's the truth, Shawn shudnt have won.
one main reason... it just doesnt make sense that someone who's has been voted out before, can suddenly get back in, do some well, get so so so much fan support and win the Finals. it just doesnt seem right. and i think, based on a huge assumption, that Mediacorp helped him..

i'm serious.. Mediacorp allowed him to win. how? what else? the voting system lah. i think they twisted the votes into his favour. i mean think abt it, it's like letting WeiLian win. similar scenario..

some say shawn won based on strong support, which i cant help but say.. it's kinda true. but alot of pple were saying that Benjamin was better.. i think Shawn won bcos Mediacorp wanted someone different. they could've found another Keely, with that voice and looks, maybe nxt yr or smth liddat. but can they ever find a 13 or 14yr old kid, who can sing so well in every season? i dont think so.. letting him win allows Mediacorp to show off that they have talent at even that young an age.
like i said, it's like weilian... can he really win Superstar? actually i think weilian is gd, he can really sing well. but the mention of his name has a certain amt of bias oredi bcos of his disability, which cant be helped seriously. pple say that he won bcos of sympathy votes, but i think Mediacorp really wanted him to win. letting him win would allow Mediacorp to boast that even a S'porean blind guy could sing so well.

the world functions on the outstanding ones... something that defines us. makes us stand out.

this post is based on personal assumptions & thoughts... pls do not feel offended, i'm really serious. but it's just another human being raising up his stand towards these kinda stuff..

i know i've been MIA-ing for quite some time. been really really busy with sch work and stuff. having 3 tutorials to rush aint easy, apparently i can feel A's coming real soon and i gotta admit... i'm scared.

zee-monster has kept me in its captivity for this wk. suffering from lack of slp due to encounter, and that explains the unproductive lectures and piling tutorials.

i've gotta back my grades...
i got BEDS for my main 4 subj, gp not included. if u ask me, i thud the pprs were tough but i thud i could have done alittle bit better. but still, thanks be to God.

i've watched transformers and harry potter, both of which are great movies. esp transformers which totally blew my mind the moment i saw Blackout transformed. ahhhh. this is what u get when childhood meets technology, and meets reality.. i wanna buy a transformer toy, optimus and bumblebee... or even starscream... blackout aint too bad.. how abt barricade?? hmmm..

harry potter was .... erm ... i shall not spoil all of u pple who havent managed to catch it. but it's really different from the book. i know it aint fair to compare it with the book, but come on... it's supposed to follow the book and like what the reviews said, couldnt meet up with all the hype surrounding it. in short... disappointing. watching it felt uneasy after awhile..

anyway, i'm having my piano concert this saturday. i think i'm prepared, but judgin from tix sales, i may not be... i think this yr is gonna be abit bad, in terms of numbers. seriously. but a performance is a performance..

i often wonder why our Christian walk needs to be a rollercoaster. at least i know why now.. and that's what makes it fun. makes it worthwhile. makes it memorable. makes it exciting.

back from quite a short hiatus..
some updates here u go..

SuperStar Cluster Camp is finally over, actually it was over a wk ago. finally got the chance to serve in Worship again, and finally worked with the same pple (plus new additions)
i think it's been a yr since i touched the keys/synth.. i'm so glad that Janelle has always been there to help me. i sometimes feel as though i'm troubling her, so needa keep askin her for help with the buttons and stuff.
dylan got his own fair share of fun. had to play his "least-fav" songs, haha... i could sense that he was abit pissed. heh
i really wanna do this more often, as u guys know... worship is smth i hold very dear to me. music has been this gift from God, and i wanna use it in the best way to please Him. hopefully platform someday?? still prayin..

i thought the band managed to bond really quickly, even though the lack of outside rehearsals... plus some of them just entered our Cluster (seth, wei ern, ben, cordelia).. but managed to really unite as a band to bring forth the worship unto God. i totally enjoyed Sat's concert, and i must say.. i didnt know yiliang could sing so well. heh

part i like abt being in the worship band, i get to slack during message time. the band just nua back-stage/ canteen/ back of the hall.. somethin abt me, everytime i serve, i'll be super energetic on stage. but once off, that's it... i'll be damn shagged. i guess that's why they say, "Filled with the Holy Spirit"...

startin to think of it.. i'm missing the band oredi. yes i do get to see them ard during svc and in Hall 9, but the mere 3 days/2 nights of workin tgther is simply unforgettable. God has really chosen this bunch of musicians that just clicked each time. simply amazing..

FYI: one discovery... dylan has a clone (err ya)... that's seth. same hair and apparently they like similar kind of music. and dylan's sister is studyin the same course as seth. haha..

okay i'm here with the awaited movie review of Spiderman 3...

on a whole.. i thud it was great show. i mean, with the addition to the original cast, and with the 3 villians, i cant help but say that the movie fitted very nicely.

sam raimi once said that the 1st movie was about Puberty and being a teen, showing how peter figured out his powers and see how he slowly morphed into the superhero.

the 2nd one was about being 18yrs old. peter starts seeing the difficulties of the real-world, jugglin b/w work, studies, relationships, auntmay and superhero duty. it's smth that alot of pple can relate to.. the stress, the pressure.. the feelin of giving up.

this 3rd one focus on adulthood. u see how he has learnt that balance in the things in his life. u see how his relationship is workin out fine and how spiderman has gained a certain amt of popularity within the country. but as a adult, it's always abt relationships. this movie focus alot on that area... in my opinion, abit too much. that's why it got abit draggy..

the battle scenes were gd. the way how venom was potrayed, was awesome. i dont mind being a Venom fan, if it aint for his teeth and weird tongue. the black spidey suit and venom's suit were thumbsup man.
i oso enjoyed how the black suit featured the weakness of spiderman. i mean it's cool to see ur superhero struggle, showing that apart from his web-slinging abilities, sticky hands/legs and under the red/blue suit, he's still Peter Parker. he's a human.

and the fact that peter struggled with relationship problems, choosing b/w gwen stacy and mary.jane. (i somehow prefer gwen stacy's smile)

to me.. spidey 3 shows the human side of a superhero. i totally like it.

but here for some flaws...
1) why is topher grace acting as Venom? venom is supposed to be more vicious and bigger size.. topher grace, who's from That 70's Show totally didnt fit that role. a comedian as venom? hmm..
2) how come sandman become so huge at the final battle? damn stupid lah..
3) the crane part was really cool, but seriously can the crane really be so darn accurate and hit gwen stacy and the ____th floor? hmm..

oh wells... it's still 8 outta 10 stars, i guess.. i still think it's worth watching, facing the fact that it's the last one. but by the looks of it, i doubt so... spidey 4 shud have more interesting villians.. heh, carnage? i dare the producers to use carnage. haha

i'm backk..
and there's alot goin on..

it's been another boring wk. the onli thing that got me goin was the rehearsal and of course, Gd Fri. i was super happy on Thurs morning already man.. i'm oso excited when i'm involved in some church event, cant blame where my passion lies man.

anyway, if u didnt realise already. yesterday was Good Friday!! and for the 2nd yr running, i'm involved in the skit. and yes, as another of the lead characters.
i got to work with my co-stars once again, Gen and Krystle. i really enjoy workin with them, cos they're jus super funny to work with. plus workin with them again helps to reduce re-bonding time, like i dont needa establish new relationships with newer co-stars, despite the new addition of afew new faces this yr. esp paulina (or pau) who i just clicked with the moment we started working tgther. haha

jus realised that the creativity of our DE skit has improved and shown alot of new ideas in the presentation. i'm so glad that we're all blessed in these areas. how i wish that the idea of "DE Starz" would really come through. but i hereby declare that we (me, gen and krystle) wont be acting nxt yr. but we'll make a comeback soon, like 5yrs later? haha.. we'll see..

today was Ignez's 1st Bday Celebration!! woohoo, the cutie is finally ONE! time really flies, it seems like yday when i visited Eve at the hospital. praise God for her, she has indeed been such a joyful blessing to all. i cant wait to squeeze her cheeks man.. jus make sure she doesnt cry =D

managed to catch Sunshine as well. it was a gd show!! maybe 7.5 outta 10 popcorns? haha.. but abit weird towards the end, shall not spoil it for u guys.
i wanna watch Turtles and 300 so badly. i feel damn shitty that 300 is almost over. ughh.. maybe nxt wk? hmm..

i've jus received shockin news from my mom. dont wry, it's gd news. today was the Hokkien Easter Healing Service at Touch Centre, and my parents brought my grandma to svc lah. apparently, my grandma whose legs have been in great pain for the past 15 yrs, received healing. and she even went on stage to give a testimony. u shud see how low my brother's jaw dropped when he heard this. the issue is that she hasn't accepted Christ yet, but i'm gonna pray for it liao. u see.. God works beyond ur faith, He jus takes that little ounce of "i trust U" and multiplies it to amazing and shocking amts.
i'm abit astounded at how things are goin currently, but it's times like this where u dont take for granted or even be proud about. afterall, pride kills you eventually. but hor, nothing to be proud. afterall it was God's hand in every area of my life.

here i am, after a busy busy March holidays... busy during the holidays, how contradicting.
yes i've been filled with tonnes of Ministry stuff, to a point that i cant tahan cos my physical body really really tired like siao.

well i'm glad that cell retreat and G12 conference is over, cant help but say that the Lord has really spoken deeply in me. He's continously remindin me that He's indeed real. the placard session was rather memorable, i was jus filled with the compassion and love of the Holy Spirit, that i began to tear very damn badly. the funny thing is that i didnt most of the pple that went on stage, but God showed me that He's was so real and tangible to each and everyone of their lives.

i've been astounded at how time flies, it's 2 yrs since i rededicated my life to God, 2 yrs since our cell grp started. and last wk, we officially split into 2 groups liao. i donno why, but we somehow got closer even after the split. hmm.. sometimes the world cant explain much..

now that school has started, it's back to the busy curriculum and tiresome days. haiz
i've gotten back 2 papers liao. rather happy with it, cos it's was rather unexpected
i wished to get better, but i knew how much i've put it... and how diff the paper was.

i got D for both math and phy. yay!!
i'm hopin that i'll get D for both Chem and Econs too.. then it'll be 4 straight Ds... somewhat comforting. Alevels then aim for 4 straight As, maybe? heh. i can do amazing things with God with me..

well Common Test was okay as a whole. i really thud i placed tonnes of effort for this Common Test, it felt the most stressful somehow.. even worse than Promos, ironic eh??
but it was God that really pulled me thrh.. there were times where i really wanted to give up, times where i really really flared up, times where i jus thud of gettin 4Us and get it over and done with...
but doin QT in the midst of exams really help, at least it organizes my importance and gathers back my confidence and willpower.

think i'll do okay for my CT, i'm expecting S/U only for GP, Chem and maybe Phy. all papers were diff to some extent lah, so i either get low D, high E or maybe low E, high S... really unpredictable but it's in God's hands. let Him control the grades, afterall i did all i could liao.

on a high note, i got C for A'Level Chinese. u must be thinking, "get C is on a high note meh?"
well to me, Chinese has always been a huge obstacle. i cant write, speak and study well for Chinese, esp with the new syllabus. i really thud i would fail, cos i got 51 for Prelims. way too concerning man.. so gettin a C was really a shock, and i'm +ve that i wont be retaking it. afterall Chinese aint crucial to enter Uni liao. right? err right?

okay there were other events that i wanted to blog about, but in case u didnt realise there were like 1 month ago? like Vday, my bday? it's like so long ago, i cant even dig out things that i did yday lah.. expect me to rmb things that happened a mth ago? haha, difficult man.

anyway, holidays are finally here. but it aint gonna be free man.. lookin thrh my schedule, i realised that i would be having 5 consecutive days of Church stuff.. fierce man, piang eh.

having cell retreat on Wed which is gonna be whole day. kinda excited abt it, it's an impt day for some of us lah, esp for me. being one of the "pioneer" guys, seeing how some of them came in and left, seeing how their lives have transformed, seeing how they've grown up, seeing the arguments and discussions, seeing their never-changing childish-ness, seeing how God really touched each and every one of them so differently, it makes me feel uneasy all inside. it has been 2yrs, short but how vivid are those memories to me man..

thurs to sat would G12 Conference, and it'll be 9am to 10pm (i'm sure it'll end even later, every yr oso liddat one).. ouch man, it means i'll spend less time in DreamLand and more time in Expo Hall10. haha. let's see what the Lord will speak during those few days. bjorn liu shud be stayin over... i think, if mother allows.. heh

oh.. i've gotten my guitar liao. after one yr of undecisive thinking, i have finally came to a conclusion to get it. i used my angbao to get it. the timing felt right, cos the Lord increased my angbao money by quite abit this yr. got it for like 500.. with sponsor from Lionel (thx!!). not exactly the color that i like, but hey it's a plugged in. and it has marble look (or so dylan says it)
still gonna use the rest of my angbao money to get my black N73 (i think tmrw's the day!!), donno whether i shud cont'd with Starhub or M1... sigh

i cant wait..

now that hols are filled with stuff, it means lesser time for trg. my intention was to use the March hols to prac 2.4 and pullups for my Napfa, but i guess i've gotten arrange my timing better. maybe i'll wake up 7am to train? oh mann, even less time in Dreamland. murder me..

been ages since i last updated. lots have happened, from ICARUS "mini" outing to ICARUS meetups, to DE24 Retreat... and not forgettin the ever-tiring wk in school..

i realised that after 2wks since Orientation ended, i still miss it. and i really like the feelin of seeing 2007 OGLs around in sch, not forgettin my iJazz freshmen who always seem to bum into me.. haha

however, i miss the closeness that ICARUS OGLs used to have... it's super diff to meetup currently, and even when may-yee or me jio them, they either disappear in thin air or never seem to turn up. haiz..

okay it's been a long time since i blogged, so to start off...

Happy "belated" New Year pple!!!
hello 2007 !!

anyway, i've been really busy and tired from Orientation1. it's been great fun to be an OGL, i rmbed tellin some of the freshmen that OGL is nvr about Leadership. it's for the 100% fun factor!! haha
i'm really enjoyin myself. it's great to be brought back to my own O1 last yr. how time really flies. now it's my turn and the "once J1s" to lead the newbies. haha

been really fun 3wks ever since OGL training started. i think we ogls rock lah, in a matter of days we clique together super easily. and i got to know super alot of pple in these 3days, faces that i used to recognise have became frens suddenly. plus all the OGLs like master each OG cheers oredi lah. speakin of which, Orpheus' "We-will-win-the-war" is so fun to mess around.. haha

i think this yr's O1 is much more "high". by Day1, most of the J1s were oredi hyped up liao. it's amazing lah. lookin at the whole VJ doin the "Yo VJC!" cheer felt so powerful. the hall was like loud like siao, all thanks to the girls' frequent screaming.
even the storyline and video this yr is super duper nice, esp the video. so much drama and plot, and quite confusing at times.

yday was concluded the last day of O1, but when the OGLs were told to step aside and allow the freshmen to lead all the VJ and OG cheers, that scene was surreal. i had a sense of proud-ness for my OG (Icarus) lah..
no more shy shy pple. the VJ spirit cum cheer-some attitude has came upon them oredi.

now that O1 has officially ended (excludin the Sea Regatta and Suntec MassDance), the feelin of goin back to the usual, boring routine studyin with lectures totally sians me out.. haiz
i cant wait for Monday.. it's time to dunk pple.

what a long time since i last posted!! like 10 over days? haha.. well believe or not, i've been really busy... OGL trainings and frequent church events have suddenly occupied me and reduced my energy level to its minimum thus far..

well Magic of Love is finally over...
felt very deja vu cos most of the tricks in the first half were way too familiar... more or less like last yr's one. i was quite pissed that my parents left halfway, they wasted their money lahz. sickening
the 2nd half was so much more interesting... claps for Ps Khong & team*

i hereby declare that i'm not suited for a morning Church svc. it's way too demandin for me. plus i had to pick Benita Lee from the airport... haha, lucky i didnt doze off during svc. it was way too powerful to try and slp anyway..
gosh, her hair is really long. she looks so funny suddenly. hair so straight until "stick" to the face liddat. hahaha, oops

these past 2 wks have been occupied by OGL trainings or meetups. am glad that my OG (or Crew) is quite fun. but it was really really tiring... imagine doin physical stuff from 9 to 5 for 2 consecutive days... piang eh

oh yea... the worst thing is gonna happen to me. on day1 of O1, i've to parade dwn the hall with May Yee as representatives for Icarus. we're both dressing like old Greek and Roman pple (think white cloth wrapped ard ur body)... and the worst part is... i've to bare my top (it'll be covered with some cloth though) bangs head*

AUSSIE TRIP !!

here i am to blog abt my trip... as far as i can recall (haha), it was a fun trip. been a long time since i went aboard to relax and relax..
so the trip there was kinda scary, it was super bumpy.. plus tv shows like LOST and Final Destination onli scaried me even more. haha

thankfully, i reached melbourne at the "rather" accurate time of the yr. at least it's still relatively cold there. though it's supposed to be summer..
the weather is the one thing that i really really miss ever since i got back from there. the temp is usually within 15-30'C each day.. make it less than 25 lah. cos out of the 9days that i was there, i onli perspired for 2days? in spore, even before i leave my hse, i'm damn hot liao and can even feel the sweat on my forehead...
so it's really really cold there, esp with the wind there which nvr seems to die off. haha
it's actually so cold that there's no such thing as aircons or fans in the apartment that i lived in..

this melbourne was more for sight-seeing.. rather than shoppin. joined day tours which brought us to wonderful sight-seeing areas like the Great Ocean Road and Philip Island. haha...

thud Philip Island was really cool. cos u wait til Sunset, and the little penguins come onto the shore to return home to their kids.. and they're like 30cm? really really cute... but huge disappointment cos not alot came back.. donno why too..

other than natural tourist attractions, there's alot of pretty buildings and cool architecture... here u go

the food there is rather shiok too. love the fact that they "heck-care" about their health and eat super sweet (or salty) stuff. heh..
chocolates, coffees, cakes, chips aka fries, burgers, pastas...
u go there, sure fat... esp girls, trust me..

the pple there are oso very nice.. they're friendly and courteous. most imptly, they have a very nice outlook. they not only dress well but their facial expression seem so pleasant... sporeans like face black black kind.. oops

jus amazed that God is good. despite runnin in the rain as i jumped from Parkway, to TM, to home.... i didnt fall sick, but my throat seems kinda weird right now. rain was so heavy, i was practically lookin for the towel outlet in Parkway Isetan without my spects... blur-ness. and i actually went to the toilet to dry up, it was super duper cold. i cant tahan... practically shivering..

thank God for my god-mom for the last-minute luggage that she spared us.. thanks to all those who have decided to offer or those who tried, or those who cant as well. i really appreciate it, esp Dan and Eve.. heh

so i went Nanyang today to exchange my mthly lenses to the Daily ones. think it's better lah, now that the Complete and Renu Solutions are goin abit hay-wire. received really gd service but i donno how to write it dwn. besides, when i tried to explain to my mom, she went blur. so i've decided not to write it here.

went to watch 007: casino royale last night. i thud it was great, although it was quite draggy at certain parts. i think it's one of the longest Bond movie so far, but i enjoyed it. it shows a real side of Bond, plus the 'back-to-basics' theme is great and more realistic.

i love his Aston Martin, plus the sound of its engine is damn shiok. too bad he onli uses it for like 1 time and that's all, it's destroyed. always liddat one lor.. but like what dylan said, "for once the car nvr shoot anytime".. haha

let's not forget Eva Green, i think she has this very unique chio-ness. yes she aint drop-dead gorgeous but she has a mysterious yet quite high-class look, haha. this adds a new element into the role of a Bond girl. all the prev ones were jus women with great looks and die after having an affair with Bond, but it's interesting that a love story happens in this movie.

and finally... let's come to Daniel Craig, the new Bond. i gotta admit, he doesnt have the Bond look. he doesnt really look charismatic as well lah, i mean look at Pierce Brosnan. i think he really fits the role haha.. but, after watchin the movie, i think craig is gd. he gives Bond a different look, shows a very weaker side of Bond. not all that confident and strong. i mean, for once, his emotions affected his job plus his relationship with Eva Green.

i'll give 007: Casino Royale... erm, 4stars over 5? i think it's gd, worth the 8bucks. i love it when i watch movies, cos i become very detailed and start complaining/praising the movie. haha... that's why i'm so picky when it's regardin movies..
i cant wait for Spiderman3 man... and Harry Potter5, shiok. faster 2007!

glad that Chinese A's is finally over. it was alright lah, i'm just scared that my essay is out of point. horror sia... oh wells. it's over, meaning... i have way more free time. which is gonna be pretty boring.
plus i dont like the feeling of goin out every single day. it tires me out, plus pple aint exactly rich to get stuff. ohwells, i guess it's back to my most favourite habit. sit infront of tv and just enjoy the liberty of Cable TV. haha

went parkway jus now. Best was having a weird sale... the vcds that were on sale were onli $16? even newer movies (eg: v for vendetta, the breakup) are so cheap. are vcds really lousy now that they have to reduce the price to such a ridiculous amt? oh man. think i'll buy some. frankly speakin, i'm still much of a vcd supporter. haha..

now i'm left with PW Oral Presentation. i'm hoping it'll turn out as planned.

now that the yr is coming to a close, and exams are finally over... it's time to enjoy the things that i've missed out. i guess exams are not only stressful, but they affect the relationships i have with pple. i'm sry man... time to spend more time with family and the other "family"

it's the 1st of November liao. doesnt time jus passby so quickly? haha... entering jc seems so yesterday. it's almost x'mas (crap, needa spend more money) and new yr's coming (j2 life doesnt seem that appealing)...
haha, i cant help but wish time would stop where it is... i think humans are always thinkin this way, "the grass is greener at the other side". hence we are nvr satisfied with ourselves.. i'm no different

proj wk is finally coming to an end. my grp jus had a OP self-practice time today at sch. donno abt u guys, but proj wk doesnt seem to irritate me anymore. in fact, i'm enjoyin the time spent with my grp. other than practising our lines and etc etc, we still managed to slack and do some crappy stuff.
well, we watched Rob-B-Hood on Fanfan's laptop. it's illegal but stay quiet ya? felt so vulnerable cos teachers and students kept walkin past our classroom and gave stares. but the movie was fun... haha
we oso did some random talking abt the other grps... and we realised that our grp has the tallest average height. it's 175cm lah! think my grp has the 3 tallest guys (including me) and 2 tallest girls in the class. super interesting... donno who also said that Herhan's grp has the shortest avr height. err ok?

am having chinese alevels in 2days. frankly speakin i'm really not ready, and i'm onli reading the various texts. donno how much it'll help but it's in God's hands lah. i jus wanna pass. realised that my expectations for Chinese has dropped from C to D... and now, to E

am goin back to sch for some University talk tmrw... it's a Saturday lah, sickenin man. haiz, i'm ironin my uniform for a miserable few hrs in sch. waste ironing time, waste washing machine water, waste washing soap.

have been extremely curious to figure out why so many girls are engrossed with korean guys. afterall, it's jus fantasies that will nvr ever been fulfilled. haha, sometimes i think we guys do things with so much more purpose and more down-to-earth, at least we choose things that are achievable. haha.. but i guess girls have to go thrh this phase of life? i wonder whether my (future) girlfren will ever compare me to some korean guy on Goong (or some other korean show) .. my grp has finally completed the slides for Proj Wk OP. am really glad that my grp is so efficient, though we joke ard and etc... we still manage to get stuff done, we ended kinda early today and i was like? so fast ah?.. haha

i've jus written dwn my schedule for the next few days and wks... and i jus realised that from Wed onwards, i needa return to sch everyday. either for PW OP Rehearsals with mr. lau... or return back to vj for Chinese remedials.
Chinese A's is nxt Fri, someone pls help me break free from that laziness that i'm having. no sense of urgency at all lah.

sch is officially over... at least for Vj, no needa return for anymore lessons. it's kinda gd, but... i've PW stuff to attend, and chinese remedials... and having said that, Alevel Chinese on 3rd Nov.
i guess i've not been very motivated to study chinese. although promos jus ended not too long ago, i think i'm stucked with the inertia to even start studyin again. haiz...

having said that, with no more sch, it'll be more slp for me... and of course, alot of free time to stone and stare into space. which i hate, spirit of idleness. haha

today was Farewell Assembly for our principal, Mrs Chan. yup, she's leaving VJ for an MOE CPDD thing. alot of diff feelings for everyone in vj.
some cant wait for her to leave..

for me... i guess vj would lose a great principal. of course the level of fun-ness would drop significantly. but since it'll be yr2 nxt yr, aint gonna be much fun anyway.

went to watch the Prestige with some of my classmates. pls go watch that movie, it's super gd. the twist is awesome... but u've got to pay alot of attention and listen to the story really closely. cos it's super confusing at the beginning...
nonetheless, i'll give it 8/10

nxt few days will be occupied by PW once again. really turns me off, cos WR only completed afew days ago. wanna slack abit oso cannot. haiz. so it's back to the boring/tiring/irritating/sickening/troublesome PW... but for the sake of a Band1 or A, i'll try my best lah.

it was VJ's Open Hse. liked the theme of Pirates, and i liked the song that the VJCSB played. it was the theme song for Pirates of the Carribean, sound super alike. no wonder they won the overseas award against other bands across the world lah....

anyway, it was really torturin to be a USHER. but i didnt even usher anyone, only gave out afew goodie bags and started walkin everywhere.
and ben.tham came back... as usual, he's such a liar. still say he having exco mtg with RJ Guit Ensemble... haha
but it was great to cya again.
and bcos of him, we danced for all the Mass Dance sessions. 4 in total, 13 dances in total... omg, tired tired

really witnessed the VJ Spirit once again, it's been a long time lah. the last time was during O1 where the vj spirit has been so high. this is smth that vj is really famous for. cheers, mass dances, united spirit... ahh

skipped Cell Outing to play lan... really shagged, plus i had to complete my written report for PW. sickeningly irritating.. haiz

Sunday 15th Oct
woke up early to go TM to get some birthday stuff. realised that my sunday morning are gonna be really free, now that exams are over.. haha
sermon was gd, felt that it was so impactful and it really questioned my faith and stuff. am glad that the Lord is speakin so much to Pastor Melvin. haha

DE288 mtg after that. how shud i say? erm... it wasnt as we planned out, but it'll have to do.. am really glad that my fellow cellmates shared deeper abt themselves and their struggles. amen to that man...

Monday 16th Oct
got back majority of the pprs. am really disappointed with my Chem, cos i came out really confident of gettin a D... but oh wells. the only think i'm happy is Maths. the rest below my expectation... was i complacent? did i boast too much even after the ppr? haiz...

rashed the last of written report. printed 40 pgs at 1230am in the morning... i'm seriously crazy lah, it'll be such a waste if my grp dont get A or band 1. not only our grp actually, i think every grp deserves an A. why?
cos PW lasts for roughly 7mths lor... and all the students put in so much effort and sacrificed their slp for their EOM, PI, GPP and WR. made changes after changes after changes. faced the scoldings of their ST and had to cooperate under really tight conditions. it was plain diff, and such a leh-chey subject. haiz

felt a huge sense of satisfaction as the 40pgs started coming out of my printer. the WR, the scariest part of the entire proj, is finally done..

today has been a rather tough day for me. i totally lost control and started losing my temper. i wanna apologise to some of my frens, and my parents too. i was pissed, stressed and pushed beyond the limit of being irritated. i'm sry, lemme kowtow now..

i'm finally back from a ultra long break (hiatus if u call it)... it's been nearly a mth since i last updated. whoa, longest time i've ever stopped bloggin

anyway, lots have happened. some worryin stuff, while some worth rejoicing over. haha

wasnt able to blog cos i was in a muggish mode for the promos, and had little life and time for myself so dont blame me man.
speakin of promos, let's do a short intro abt it..

1) Econs
expected this to be the least prepared and the least confident ppr, but i guess prayers are really powerful. despite only studyin 3 topics for Econs, all 3 came out for the essays. and i was super happy and it was such a morale booster. thx God
i think the only diff section would definitely be the case studies, and the mark allocation is seriously insane lah. i dont even know how to start answerin the Qns lah. haha

2) Phy
lemme warn u, dont ever be proud or start showing off. i was tellin myself (and some frens) that i was super prepared for Phy and that i would definitely score better for Phy, than Econs. and that hit me in the back man.
phy was the worse ppr for the entire Promos, it was super chim and hard to understd. think i'll pass by some ridiculous luck. haha. lucky i got C for Midyrs, though it cant pull the overall grade by much but i'm hoping it does.

3) Chem
it was the 1st time i enjoyed doin a chem ppr w/o much pressure. it was relatively easy, as compared to the predictions that i once had. before promos started, i was already thinkin of giving up for Chem cos i heard that the ppr would be a huge killer.
and as it turned out, it was really easy. not easy like chicken feed, but relatively easier as compared to the Midyrs. i think i might have a possibility of scoring a C or D. this grade (to me) is really comfortin.

4) Math
i freaked out on Wed night cos i forgetten half of the stuff i studied for Math, i was callin liqin and both of us were totally un-calm. haha
the ppr was okay. it's not that chim as Midyrs, but i had blanks and stuff that i struggled to recall. i'm hopin that by some chance (or God's blessings) that i get a D.

5) Chinese
if u dont know yet, i hate Chinese and this ppr wasnt pleasant one bit. ppr1 was relatively okay, somehow managed to write a 2.5 pg essay (for me, it's gd enough) even after afew mths of not doin chinese essays.
ppr2 is a killer cos it really touches on ur Chinese standard. ppr1 can still imagine and create a powerful story, but ppr2 is like Chinese Literature. stupid new syllabus.

these are the targets i set for the Promos:
- Econs: D
- Phy: D
- Chem: D
- Math: D
- GP: E
- Chinese: E

i think all are achievable, except Phy. and i think these targets are rather reasonable and at least i'm not crazy to aim for 4As. haha
alrighty, promos aside..

another story to tell.
right before the Promos started, my mom got admitted to the hospital. she was suspected to have certain liver problems. her urine is unusually yellowish, eyes were slighty yellow and her skin color too. to have ur mom in the hospital during ur Promos is certainly not a bonus, that's for sure. but it was super diff to juggle b/w some many stuff..

housework + independent lifestyle + constant thinkin of mom + visits to the hospital + MUGGING

in addition, dad was always at the hospital so i was really home alone most of the time. it was weird lah. it's a 1st time that my family doesnt support me during my exams, and it's a 1st where i really experienced the uncertainty of life.

well. dont wry, my mom is back frm the hospital. thx for all the prayers, cos the doctors cant find any cause for her yellowish symptoms. and her yellowish-ness is subsiding liao, so i'm really glad that God is watchin over her and really doin a healing beyond humanly eyes. thx God!!

i'm having "holidays" til Friday, by which i have to return to Vj for J2 Farewell Assembly. will miss the seniors man, hmm. i'm really really free nowadays, i really wanna go out but i'm lackin cash and the pple that are supposed to shop/movie/etc with me are still having exams. haiz..
lucky it's Family Day tmrw and we're watchin WorldTradeCenter. i hope i can get my mom to get the Topman jacket for me too... heh, the privileges for goin out with ur parents! use of personal money aint required. woohoo
